Future Turns To Surge Components For Discrete Semiconductors
(March 30, 2000) -- Deer Park, NY -- Surge Components, Inc. and distributor Future Electronics, Inc. have expanded their franchise agreement to include a strategic emphasis on the supplier's surface mount discrete semiconductors. The new push will provide focus on more targeted OEM applications for general purpose, fast recovery and shottky discretes in SMA, SMB and SMC packages.
The development serves a key role in fulfilling critical industry requirements, said Ira Levy, President, Surge. "Future has an established position within the discrete semiconductor arena," he said. "That, coupled with Surge's product availability and overall pricing, is the kind of symbiosis we look for in a strategic alliance."
Future, of Pointe Claire, Quebec, signed on as an authorized component distributor for Surge's aluminum electrolytic capacitors and discrete semiconductors at the end of 1999. It is authorized to stock and sell these devices to original equipment manufacturers worldwide. Surge Components, Inc. is a world-class supplier of capacitors and discrete semiconductors used widely in industrial electronic applications.
